HILLTOWN TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING Monday, February 15, 2010 7:30PM
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Hilltown Township Planning Commission was called to order by Chairman Mark Funk at 7:30PM and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.Also present were Planning Commission members Jim Groff, Kirk Hansen, Jeff Lapp, Joe Marino, Lori McCauley, and Anita Menegaux; along with Township Engineer, C. Robert Wynn.
A.APPROVAL OF MINUTES – Action on the minutes of the January 18, 2010 Planning Commission meeting: Mr. Hansen noted the following addition to page 5, last paragraph, identifying the resident whose name and address could not be discerned on the recording as Mr. Matt Rosen.
Motion was made by Mr. Marino, seconded by Mr. Hansen, and carried unanimously to approve the minutes of the February 15, 2010 Planning Commission meeting, with the addition as noted.
B.PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS ONLY:None.
C.CONFIRMED APPOINTMENTS:
1.Giant Convenience Store/Fuel Station – Mr. William Benner, the applicant’s legal counsel, along with Mr. Rick Stoneback, the applicant’s engineer, and Mr. Jack Schneider of Metro Development, were in attendance to present the plan.Engineering detail has been added to the plan to address the conditions raised by Mr. Wynn’s most recent review dated January 19, 2010.The project will now be phased, with Phase I including the gas component, and deferring construction of the convenience store and conversion of the existing bank building into retail space to Phase II.
Motion was made by Mr. Lapp, seconded by Mr. Marino, and carried unanimously to recommend conditional final plan approval to the Giant Convenience Store/Fuel Station Land Development, pending completion of all outstanding items and receipt of all outside agency approvals as noted in Mr. Wynn’s January 19, 2010 engineering review.
