Hearing Process re: Petition for Zoning Amendment of U.S. Homes, LLC d/b/a Lennar – Public Hearing Scheduled for July 27, 2022
The public hearing currently scheduled for July 27, 2022 is being continued until Thursday September 8, 2022. This continuance has been requested by the Applicant, as is it’s the Applicant’s Petition to move forward. The September hearing date was selected to accommodate concerns raised by the public at the July 6th hearing that any future hearing scheduled during the remainder of the summer months would conflict with resident availability.
The Board of Supervisors (“Board”) will convene as scheduled on July 27th to address the continuance request. There will be no other business conducted. As explained in detail during the hearing on July 6th, the Board cannot force the Applicant to proceed, and thus the continuance request must be considered in that context. Given the context of the request, and given that the date selected was specifically in response to previous received public input as to scheduling, there will be no public debate on any motion to continue the hearing to said date.
