SINGLE CHIP SEAL
Single Chip Seals are most cost effective when preserving roads in good condition. This effective tool used on a 5 - 7 year cycle, will cost effectively keep good roads good. A Single Chip Seal is an extremely cost effective surface application used to maintain, protect and prolong the life of an asphalt pavement.
Soft, flexible, polymer modified asphalt emulsion is applied directly to the pavement followed by an application of #8 or ¼ inch aggregate. The thick asphalt membrane water proofs and bonds the new aggregate to the surface, providing a new skid resistant wearing course.

Grip Tight Fog Seal is a specialized emulsion designed specifically for the treatment of Chip Sealed pavements to effectively improve aggregate retention and provide a long-lasting waterproof black appearance to the roadway.
This highly polymerized, hard asphalt emulsion can be applied within 24 hours of placing a High Performance Chip Seal. Once applied, the material drains into the voids created by the cubical aggregate and locks down the soft asphalt Chip Seal with a hard durable cover.
Grip Tight Fog Seal can also be applied to open graded asphalt pavements to prevent raveling and oxidation. The Fog Seal penetrates the open graded surface with polymers and asphalt, providing an effective aid against moisture intrusion and loss of surface fines.
